THE PEARL OF GREAT PRICE


Women of the Nations (WON), was birthed in 2007, a ministry appointed and anointed to Gather,  Equip and Mobilize (GEM) women to carry out God’s command to “Disciple” (gather and equip) and to “Go”(mobilize). (Psalm 68:11)

I would like to share a message written on a gift card for me last Christmas. This Christmas message touched a chord in my heart and led me to read this heartfelt message at least five times, yet I do not tire reading it all over again.

YOU DON’T HAVE A LIFE


I think when people began to ask about my day-to-day schedule, they found themselves in a difficult situation to respond. Because I spend my Monday nights hosting a Bible study for teens, Tuesday and Thursday nights at the gym, Friday nights packed with our weekly youth service all night long, and some Saturday nights preparing for Sunday’s service. So my only free weeknight is basically Wednesday. People’s typical response would be: “Wow, you’re pre . . . . .

WHAT IT MEANS TO LEAD


The simplest way to identify the person in charge is by looking at a team structure. You go to the very top and see whose name is put above the rest. The one with the title: Boss, Coordinator, Director, Chief, Team Leader, and so on. You know what I mean. I knew that to the world, a good leader has vision, charisma, good management skills, and all that. But I used to think that for the most part, being in one of those positions mean that you assign jobs for other people and . . . . .

THE ONE WHO HAS IT ALL TOGETHER


It’s a rarity for me to have Mondays off from my normal bible-study-hosting routine. But our team were still exhausted from a weekend packed with our youth conference, that we decided a day off would be a good idea. And yes, it was a great idea, and partly my own suggestion to the group. But being so used to the heavy-hectic-jam-packed weeknights, staying at home just like that just doesn’t seem right. I needed to find something useful and productive to do. I kn . . . . .
