When a Miracle Happens

12 December, 2016

I believe many of you have been through times when you expect miracles to happen. I spent countless times imagining and rehearsing my own reaction when a giant prayer-request is being answered. But what actually would you do when a miracle happens right in front of your eyes.

Once in my life, I faced a humongous mountain. I asked God to make a way, to breathe, to make things happen on my behalf. I cried, plead, hoped, prayed and stood in an agreement asking for the mountain to be moved. But the mountain seemed to get bigger and bigger. The enemy even put up a huge thick wall around the mountain. The word "impossible" is imprinted on the wall, so big that we could even see it from far away. As I continued to trust, the reality said the mountain is here to stay.

"Would you still trust Me?" God asked.

After a while, disappointment started to creep in. Patience turned into anger, hope turned into confusion, but deep inside I said "Let Your will be done, Lord. Life will continue to go on and I will be just fine" trying to comfort myself. I surrendered. I chose to forgive the ones who hurt me. It seemed like I just had to leave the mountain alone and figure out a different route. I chose to fix my eyes on the One who knows best.

Everything will be okay.

Then suddenly, out of the blue, an answer fell from Heaven right in front of my eyes. The mountain decided to move itself. The wall was torn down by the one who built it at the first place. The mountain is moving. The mountain was moved supernaturally. In shock and in awe, with my jaws left opened, I asked God “what have You done behind the scene?” He was quiet, no body knew only God, the author and the finisher of our faith. With eyes wide opened, and a heart full of gratitude, I said “Thank You, Father, for the surprise.”

I will never fail you
I will never leave you
My words are always true
My promise is forever
I will never stop loving you

If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give good and advantageous things to those who keep on asking Him!
-Matthew 7:11 (AMP)

Friends, I encourage you to trust God a little more today, then tomorrow, then the days after regardless any circumstances. His love is constant. His words are true. When He says "I will never leave you nor forsake you" He means it. Miracles are real. Miracles happen. And when a miracle happens right in front of your eyes, your heart will be filled with awe and thanksgiving and your mouth will confess "This is None other but God". A stone of remembrance for your children's children. God is a good good Father. Always and forever. Don’t give up.
