Acts 20:20 "How I kept nothing back that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house..."

What causes a man to leave everything to follow Jesus? What produces a drive to make a distinguished learned man to live a simple life and go house to house to tell people about Jesus?

Paul, who was called Saul, a Pharisee who trained under the famous Gamaliel, was a trusted "expert" of the law. From successfully persecuting the followers of Jesus, Paul became an adamant bold apostle of Christ.

Matthew 4 and Luke 5 also talks about how the disciples left all they had to follow Jesus. One invitation from the Teacher, "Come, follow me", and tax collector, Levi, who was earning a lot of money, stood up and left everything. 

The fishermen, when they were called, dropped all their nets and left their boat. That was their only source of livelihood! They all turned to follow Jesus. 

Oh but a wonderful reward it is to be a follower of Jesus Christ! Only one word from Him, hearts were touched and lives were never the same again. God didn't turn their lives up-side-down. Rather, He turned them right-side-up!

Jesus wants to walk with you. In fact, He wants to carry you so you can run the race He has set out for you, an adventure of a lifetime!  Let The Teacher's Words be planted in your heart. Let it take root and grow to bear much fruit. May His grace abound for you to answer His call and may you allow our Master turn your life around so that you will never be the same again.
